Originally released as a single on 12/22/2015
I've been to Nashville one time, on a cross country trip to play music and visit friends. This was written after spending the morning on lower Broadway being a tourist. The buskers were already out, claiming their spot for the day and it was just about to pour. So I ran for my car and headed to Florida. Battling I-65 traffic and heavy rain, somehow I wrote most of this tune straight off. I love what John Shipe does here with the nylon string guitar and how he catches the imagery of the lyrics AND how it weaves with Gary's pedal steel. Tyler kept calling it Nashville City Blues, which ain't a bad title but I decided to keep the imagery of the song in the title.
